Cover Supervisor

32.5 hours per week – 8.15 am to 3.35 pm
Salary £19,872

Arthur Mellows Village College are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to supervise whole classes during short term teacher absences. You will be assisting in preparing the learning environment and the materials required. You will cover lessons of any subject using the cover work set by the teacher, set high expectations to motivate and challenge students whilst managing behaviour effectively and promoting a positive learning environment. This is a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the school.

Would you like to train to be teacher and are looking for classroom experience? The Cover Supervisor role is an excellent way to gain that much needed experience. 

Strong personal qualities such as confidence, integrity and presence are sought in addition to good ICT skills. Consistent and effective communication are required together with the ability to use own initiative.
