An Introduction to CEIAG in AMVC

Twenty-first-century life places complex demands on young people for work, so enabling students to become self-confident, skilled and career-ready learners must be an integral part of their education. Opportunities to engage in career-related learning while gaining transferable life-long skills in applied knowledge, critical thinking and communication are fundamental for young people to make the successful transition from education. With this in mind, AMVC are dedicated to deliver impartial advice and guidance to all their students.
This is done through the curriculum, linking subject areas with careers, through dedicated timetabled lesson from Years 7 – 13, links with industry and local employers, work experience as well as 1:1 Careers interviews with qualified staff.

How can you help with CEIAG?

As an employer you could help students to transition into working life. This could be done by offering block work experience placements for Year 10 students, or more targeted placements for 6th Form students.
During Key Stage 5, all students attend mock interview sessions, if you were in a position to offer to give up half a  day to help this could benefit students and yourself/colleagues.
If this is something that you would like to take part in, please email or telephone 01733 252235 and ask for Mrs Young or Mr Cook.
