Delivering learning for life within an aspirational culture

BA (Hons) Applied Education Studies led by The University of Bedfordshire

The University of Bedfordshire uses AMVC as a local campus centre for the BA (Hons) Applied Education Studies.

This four-year part-time programme has been designed to meet the needs of individuals who wish to get started on a route to a career in teaching and who are currently working in schools in support roles such as nursery nurses, classroom assistants, instructors, or who are able to undertake substantial work, paid or voluntary, in schools. This programme, combined with practical work in schools, allows people with experience and skills in working with pupils to build upon their existing competences and to further their academic study in order to gain a degree level qualification. At the end of this course students can choose to apply for a one-year teacher training programme to gain Qualified Teacher status (QTS).
