AMVC House System
The house system, created in 2023, is now an important part of school life at Arthur Mellows Village College. There are five houses, based on the elements of the AMVC school badge. House events and competitions are organised throughout the academic year in order to be crowned the winning house.
The winning house for the 2025-2026 academic year was Shield House!
Abbey HouseNamed after the historic Peterborough Abbey, now known as Peterborough Cathedral, Abbey House fosters a strong sense of belonging and teamwork among our students. Here’s what some of our students have to say about Abbey House:

Castle HouseNamed after the historic Woodcroft Castle in Etton, which was built at the end of the 13th century, Castle House encourages students to work collaboratively, and face challenges with confidence. Here’s what some of our students have to say about Castle House:
