YEAR 7 INFORMATION FOR SEPTEMBER 2025
Please find below the link to our Admissions Booklet for September 2025. The booklet contains useful information for your child and for parents/carers, including how to apply for school transport and uniform.
Key Dates to be aware of:
- Monday 23 June 2025: Students from smaller schools ONLY have been invited to a transition session from 3.30 pm - 5.00 pm, due to their primary school not receiving a transition visit from AMVC. Relevant parents have been sent an email this week, an online reply form has been attached to that email. We are unable to accommodate any additional from those already invited students. Students from our larger primary schools are currently receiving transition visits.
- Wednesday 2 July 2025: All students transitioning to AMVC in September 2025 are invited to our 'Move Up Day' from 8.45 am - 2.45 pm. All students should arrive at Entrance A where they will be greeted by AMVC staff. A selection of buses from catchment villages will be available, and we are waiting for School Transport at Peterborough City Council to inform us of these places. Parents/carers will be informed which bus routes will be available shortly. We will also send out further details about Move Up Day in the coming weeks. Students should either bring a packed lunch or £3.00 in cash (correct change please) for lunchtime.
- Wednesday 2 July 2025: Parent/Carer Information Evening from 5.30 pm. Parents/Carers only are invited to a Transition Information Evening, where presentations, tours and Q&A will be given. The evening should last around an hour. Further information will be emailed shortly.
For students joining us in September 2025, we will be introducing the College through a ‘Move Up Day’ on Wednesday 2 July 2025 and through an online video, which will be available on our website later in the summer term from Mrs Warrington (Head of Year 7 2025/2026) and Mr Moffat (Assistant Head of Year 7 2025/2026). They will cover how the College will support your child pastorally and within their learning, as well as provide you with some ideas on how you can support from home. Further details outlining ‘Move Up Day’ will be sent out in the summer term.
Parents/Carers will also be invited to a Parent/Carer Information Evening on Wednesday 2 July 2025 from 5.30 pm – 6.30 pm in school. Further information on the evening will be provided nearer the date once all the Student Admission Confirmation Booklets have been returned and we have contact details for each family.
