Year 11 Mock Interviews

Year 11 students took part in some Mock Interviews on Wednesday 26 November 2025, where employers and local businesses gave up their time to support our students. The exercise was a practical rehearsal of an interview, for the purpose of providing a learning experience for students in preparation for their Post 16 applications and beyond.
Over 250 Year 11 students took part in Mock Interviews on the day. Despite some initial nerves, as would be expected in an interview situation, the students embraced this learning opportunity. Many even stated how useful it had been, and some even suggested that they enjoyed it by asking to go again with someone different!
Volunteering interviewers represented a broad cross section of employment sectors, from construction to healthcare, engineering to sales and manufacturing to the civil service. They included Bakkavor, MGroup, Skanska, Morgan Sindall, Baker Perkins, Caterpillar Perkins, Zellis, Marker Study, JDE Coffee, NHS and the Passport Office. Some of our School Governors also gave up their time to become interviewers for the day.
We are really very grateful to those who gave up their time to act as interviewers, providing invaluable opportunities and feedback to our students. We cannot run these events without the support of volunteers. Should anyone or business wish to get involved in the School Careers Programme, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs S Clarke via office@arthurmellows.org.
