Year 12 Geography visit to Wales: 12 - 15 March 2025

Year 12 Geography students attended the annual field trip to Wales in March to complete some coursework investigations.
South Wales and the surrounding areas are one of the few areas in the country where we can study a range of issues relating to the control of flooding and those linked to the regeneration of cities. Based at a Youth Hostel the trip involved 4 days of outdoor work to Blaenavon, Cardiff Bay and City Centre, Oxwich Bay, Port Eynon and Porthcawl. The sun shone, the daffodils bloomed and the little lambs gambolled.
Roxy: ‘The scenery around the youth hostel was very picturesque’
Eloise: ‘There was A LOT of walking!’
Lucas: ‘The reservoir was attractive, I took lots of pictures!’
Tom: ‘We didn’t see Gareth Bale..’
Connor: ‘The beaches were great, just very cold!’
Erin: ‘I wish I had packed warmer clothes!’
Sofia: ‘A very green, beautiful landscape’
Jack: ‘It was very quiet’
Tom: ‘Aesthetically pleasing reservoir views’
Noah: ‘The coal mine was even colder than outside!’
Max: ‘Good seeing the Principality Stadium!’
Jack: ‘None of us knew how to play card games!’
