House Chemistree Competition

The annual House Chemistree Competition took place on Wednesday 17 December and saw students compete in small teams to see which house could create the best Chemistree

Students used a range of acids and alkalis, with universal indicator to create a house themed Chemistrees that they placed in clamp stands to achieve a Christmas tree shape.

There was tough competition between the houses and wonderful results, a special mention should be given to Shield and Book House for creating particularly impressive displays. It was, however, Abbey House that were crowned the victors.

Year 10 students Millie Sutton and Jess Tarbotton were clear winners among the staff and Sixth Form students who voted for their favourites, noting the impressive range of reds and decorative touches.

Well done Abbey House!
