Sixth Form vs Staff Charity Football Match

On Thursday 3 July, we had a Sixth Form vs Staff charity football match to raise funds for The Kite Trust as part of our Diversity Week.

Students and staff paid 50p to enter and an amazing £96 was raised.  The staff retained their win with a score of 1-0.  Many students and committees were involved including the Film and Media Committee filming and photographing, the charity and social committee organising and collecting donations, and the Communications Committee with commentary.  The event was a huge success, and the students and staff watching had a great time.  The atmosphere was so lovely, bringing our school community together.  Other events throughout the day included a non-uniform day with a colour from the rainbow, the sale of lollies and a film night.  Thank you to everyone who took part, contributed to the organisation of the event and who donated to watch.  All proceeds go directly to The Kite Trust whose work supports the creativity and wellbeing of LGBTQ+ young people in our community.
