Howdens Trip
To celebrate international women in engineering day, Howden Turbo Ltd (formerly the Peter Brotherhood Group) offered the chance for girls currently taking engineering courses or those interested in careers within engineering, to take part in a day at their factory, showcasing careers in Engineering and giving insight into the role women play in different engineering industries to promote and encourage girls to pursue careers within the industry.
Students spoke to female engineers working for Howden, gaining valuable insight into career pathways and took part in a range of activities in addition to a tour of the Howden Turbo Factory. The trip was a massive success, further strengthening AMVC's links with Local industry and in encouraging students to explore STEM careers.
