Holocaust Competition

Last term the College was invited to enter a competition about the Holocaust.

Entrants were invited to write an essay or a poem about this sad event. Laura Pruhs, Abigail Hookham, Aileen Baird and Beth Oliver all entered some brilliant and thoughtful pieces of writing. Abigail was awarded third place and Aileen came second. On Thursday 27 January 2011 Mrs Warrington and Mrs Price took the girls to the Town Hall to take part in the Mayor’s procession to Cathedral Square where we heard many moving speeches on the subject of the Holocaust. We were then invited back to the Town Hall where Abigail and Aileen read their entries out to all of the invited guests. The College would like to offer congratulations to all four girls for giving up their time to enter this competition and for representing the College in an outstanding manner.
