European Junior Swimming Championship in Netanya, Israel

Amelia Monaghan, in Year 10, has just returned to College after representing Great Britain in the European Junior Swimming Championships.  This is the first time that she has represented Great Britain, which was a fantastic opportunity for Amelia to experience this level of competition.  She competed in 400 individual medley (which means that she had to use all 4 swimming stokes) and in her age group she came 2nd overall but in the competition, as she is in the younger year of her age group, she didn’t progress through from her heats.

Amelia has been swimming with The City of Peterborough Swimming Club since she was 4 years old and she now swims 8 times a week.

We are exceptionally proud of her achievements and would like to wish her well in the future.
