Christmas Concert

On Tuesday 17 December 2013 Arthur Mellows students performed in the annual Christmas concert. It was, as ever, a popular event with over 90 students participating from all Year Groups in the College.

Our Senior band,  played a selection from ‘The Lion King’, and a Christmas favourite “Sleigh  ride” whereas the Junior band played “Skyfall” and “The Cave”. Our Junior choir is the biggest it has ever been, with 50 students coming every week. It is lovely to see students performing who have not performed before, some because they are in Year 7; Evie Westbrook being a notable example. Others have recently formed bands, like “Seven” who are a group of Year 9 girls who have been playing together for about 6 months and made their debut performance. (Seven include; Bethan Gilligan, Beth Evans, Isabella Ellis Alexander, Isabella Valerio, Megan Stainton Roberts, Marnie Banfield and Charlie  Westbrook).

Mrs Hammond and Mrs Gray would like to say “well done” to all who took part, and have a lovely Christmas break.
